Creative Direction, Design
The second Long Beach Zine Fest was held on April 24th, 2016 at the Museum of Latin American Art in Long Beach, California. As a co-founder and organizing member, I was in charge of getting all the visual design done for the event, from brainstorming and building style guides on the initial visual language, to the final logo concept and execution; to designing the event poster, flyer, social media, and any other supporting print collateral leading up to the event; all the way to the design and printing of day-of signage, totebags, regular pins, and special-edition organizers-only hard enamel lapel pins. With help from the team, we guided the entire project from concept to completion, evolving the visual language throughout the entire process, and collaborating openly with all the individual parties, vendors, and zinesters involved.
